The Green Ship
Our first week in Year 4 has been very
exciting, as during Literacy lessons we have been reading a fiction book called ‘The Green Ship’. We have noted that the author is Quentin Blake– who we know is also the illustrator for Roald Dahl.
We discussed the key features of a ship and their features. We decided to make a list of the key features and went into our school field to find suitable materials to make our own green ships.
We will be using these soon to inspire us to write a persuasive letter to Miss Gillespie, persuading her why our ship is the best!
