We are extremely lucky to have strong links with the charity DebtAware.
Debt Aware are a charity who provide money management lessons to school children. At DebtAware, they believe that children should understand how to manage money from an early age. They will then be more confident about managing money as they grow up.
The DebtAware programme includes information avout saving, spending, what borrowing means, how credit works and the risks involved. The objective to these sessions is that if the children receive money management education they are less likely to fall into serious debt as adults.
Debt Aware visit our school every year to provide money management lessons to Years 5 and Year 6 pupils. 'Money Mentors' are chosen, who lead and support their classmates through extra activities, after their course with Debt Aware.
