School Readers

At Springwell Park, we work closely with a programme called 'School Readers'. This programme matches reading volunteers in our local area to our school. 

 

The volunteers then receive an induction from our DSL and a reading focused induction from our English Lead. The volunteers are then utilised effectively by the class teacher, where specific children are pinpointed and enjoy target reading intervention.

 

We are lucky enough to have a volunteer reader in each year group.
