Over the last term we have been working very hard on designing, building and completing are very own Egyptian Sarcophagi. First we drew around a template onto plywood and then had to use our knowledge of Maths to measure each side of our sarcophagus. We then learned a new skill- to saw- and evaluated our own health and safety risks whilst doing this. Once all of our pieces were measured and cut, we then used a hot glue gun to stick our pieces to together, forming our sarcophagus.
This week we have worked on completing our sarcophagi by using paper mache to form a mummy shape and finally various paint colours to finish our masterpiece, even creating a mosaic effect on one side!
