PSHE - Safe Skills
Year 6 have been involved in three afternoon workshops this week delivered by Mrs Evans and Sharon. The children have been taking part in the Safe Skills programme which has been developed through the Ariel Trust who have worked with the police and the NSPCC to devise a resource in relations to the risks associated with 'grooming'. The children have explored themes such as disclosing personal information, behaviour and controlling relationships and assessing risks. The aim of the programme is to empower young people to protect themselves against grooming risks. The children have shown a great deal of maturity when discussing these issues.
