3.9.15 Place Value
Today we were looking at place value.

With our partners we took it in turns to roll a 1-9 sided dice.
We then placed our number in one of the place value columns.
The objective of the game was to get the highest number to win.
We had to use our understanding and reasoning skills to know where the best place would be to place our number each time.
If we got a higher number than our partner, we then got to add their number to ours using column addition! We were able to apply our 'carrying' skills to do this.
