If you go down to the woods today...
You'd be sure of a noisy surprise! As part of 'Book Week' we have been studying 'Into The Forest' by Anthony Browne. We visited Formby Woods to experience the feeling of being lost in the woods and to imagine the story unfolding around us. We had a fantastic time den building using broken branches and bug (and frog) hunting in the depths of the woods. While listening to Mr Humphray tell the story, the children used their imagination and senses to experience the book in a real life setting. We even had time to run as fast as we could up and down the hills and scare away any wildlife that had dared to come near us!
