Chinese New Year 2010

The children have really enjoyed making lanterns and dragon masks in nursery to celebrate Chinese New Year. They have listened to stories from China and watched video clips of Chinese New Year celebrations. They have even had a go at Chinese writing!!
On Friday the children had a Chinese banquet with prawn crackers, fried rice, noodles and rice crackers. They had a really good try at using chopsticks to eat the food!
All the children took home a fortune cookie and a pair of chopsticks. cheeky
