Our 2Y Room at Springwell Park is available for children who are eligible for the 2Y Funding.
We are very proud of our 2Y room at Springwell Park. The children in this room are the youngest in our Springwell family, therefore we work very hard to ensure that the environment they learn, play and explore in is second to none. We boast an attractive, stimulating and well-thought out indoor and outdoor provision.

Our 2Y Room curriculum focuses on the Prime Areas of learning. Our aim is to provide our children with the foundation skills they need in order to thrive within our 2Y room setting and beyond - nursery, reception, and beyond. Literature and language is at the heart of what we do - we have a focus on learning nursery rhymes and familiar stories, where we share them today and build our language and vocabulary. We have two focus texts per half term.
Children's interests is of utmost importance to us. The individual child remains at the centre of our practice and we explore individual and collective interests continually. Through observations and parental involvement, next steps are planned by Key Workers and these feed into weekly planning.
We value the notion that young children are experts in their own lives and as such are co-constructors of their learning alongside skilled adults.
