The Vikings are coming!
We were very lucky last week to have a fantastic Viking visitor in to Year 3, from 'Lore and Saga'.
He told us all about where the Vikings came from, how they travelled, why they raided and settled in Britain, how they lived and what happened to them 'in the end'.
In the afternoon we made Viking games, oil lamps from clay, we studied and drew actual Viking artefacts and we even learnt to hold and attack using Viking shields and spears, in formation!
