Springwell Sports Coaching
Ten Year 6 children were chosen to take part in the Hawthornes 'Leadership Academy' in July and became Junior Sports Coaches. They now run a sports club for the reception and year 1 classes four dinner times a week. They teach the children how to take turns and have good sportsmanship, as well as play lots of co-ordination games. So far, it has been a huge success! So successful, in fact, that we have had to begin training more year 6 children to become sports coaches! It is lovely to see our oldest children build strong bonds with our youngest children and create a caring environment on the playground.
