Remembrance Assembly
This year's Remembrance Assembly was performed by Y5, Y5/6 and Y6. The assembly was a mixture of readings, poems and a song. The song we performed was the famous hit song "All Together Now" by the Liverpool group The Farm. The song was written by the group's lead singer, Peter Hooton and tells the story of the 1914 Christmas truce. Everyone who came to the assembly was moved by the power and emotion of the occasion and at the end we had the fantastic surprise of Peter Hooton being part of the audience! Peter not only had some kind words to say at the end of the assembly but he also posed for photos and signed some autographs. Many thanks to Peter for giving up his time.
