Plant Investigation
We completed two investigations whilst studying plants. The first investigation was to see if plants needed water and warmth from the sun to survive. We put one plant on the windowsill and watered it every two days and put the second plant in Miss Hughes' cupboard and didn't water it for 3 weeks. What do you think happened to the plants?
The second investigation was to see if plants needed soil to grow. We planted two seeds in soil and two seeds in cotton wool and measured the height of the stems after 2 weeks. We had varying results but overall we proved that plants do not need soil to grow.
