Since the alien egg arrived at Springwell Park Key Stage 1 children have been trying to find out the best way to look after it. We knew from the letter left by it's mother that the egg likes to be kept in the dark, so we set about trying to find the best conditions for the egg to stay in. We decided to cover a tent in different materials to find which one that would keep out the most light. To make this a fair test we covered 3 tents with different materials, black bin bags, a thick black blanket and cardboard, then all the children went into the tents to look at a picture. When the children had been in all three tents they voted for the material that was the best at keeping the light out of the tent.
