Dewa Roman Experience
We had a fantastic day in Chester learning about the Romans at the Dewa Roman Experience!
We had two different experiences:
1: Soldier Patrols
We discovered what it would be like to be part of the greatest fighting forces the world has ever known. We marched around Chester carrying our shields, visited an ampitheatre and we also re-created a testudo - a tortoise defensive formation. Miss Gillespie and Mrs Hawez became Gladiators and Mrs Hawez nearly got her head chopped off by the Roman soldier!
2.Dewa Roman Experience
We got a fully guided tour of the reconstructions, excavations, museum and the award-winning hands-on room. We found out about Roman health, hygiene, medicine, food, drink, pottery and archaeology and artefacts.
We even got a Roman Goody Bag at the end of our trip
