Our special visitor .....
Today something very exciting happened - we got a parcel delivered to our class!
After lots of discussion about what might be inside, Miss Patterson had a look and could not believe her eyes! She then gave us lots of clues and we had to work with our talk partners to guess what was inside the box!
Inside was a .......
Penguin!!!!!! She had come all the way from The South Pole! We decided to call her 'Petal'. She had a letter in the box that explained to us that Big Boss Emperor Penguin had sent the penguin on a holiday. We are very excited because he is going to send us a penguin every day to help us learn about them! Each penguin is going to arrive with a penguin fact.
