Everyday Materials

Our topic this half term has been Everyday Materials.  We have thought about what materials we can find around school, what they are used for and why they might be good for that particular job.  This week we have designed an investigation to answer the question:

 

Can all common materials be bent, squashed, twisted and stretched?  

 

We all predicted no!  We used cardboard, plastic, an elastic band, a wooden pencil, cloth and a banana for fun!
