On Wednesday 21st January we enjoyed a trip to Dewa Roman Experience in Chester.
We had two different experiences:
1: Soldier Patrols
We discovered what it would be like to be part of the greatest fighting forces the world has ever known. We marched around Chester carrying our shields, visited an ampitheatre and we also
re-created a testudo - a tortoise defensive formation. Miss Hopwood and Miss Sherridan became Gladiators in the ampitheatre!
2.Dewa Roman Experience
We got a fully guided tour of the reconstructions, excavations, museum and the award-winning hands-on room. We found out about Roman health, hygiene, medicine, food, drink, pottery and archaeology and artefacts.
We even got a Roman Goody Bag at the end of our trip
Unfortunately not the ones with chocolate chips.
