Designing a Sarcophagus~ March 2017
As part of our topic on Ancient Egypt we have been designing and completing our individual Egyptian sarcophagus.
First, we drew around a template onto plywood for the sarcophagus base and lid. Then we used our mathematical skills learnt to measure out each of the sides needed to complete our sarcophagus.Once all our pieces were measured , we carefully cut out each piece with a saw (a new skill learnt). Next, with the help of our teacher, we carefully with a glue gun attached the pieces together to form our sarcophagus. Finally, we produced a mummy shape on the lid with paper mache. When it was dry, we painted our sarcophagus.
