Bikeability~ 13th and 20th September 2016
On 13th and 20th September 2016, twenty children from 5MH took part on a bikeability course which is designed to improve the children's cycling skills, confidence and ability to cycle on roads.
First, they learned how to check their bicycles and helmets before each bike ride. Then they learned the correct procedures to use when riding their bicycles on a main road including to check for oncoming traffic and traffic behind them when starting and ending a journey, how to complete a u-turn on a road, overtaking a parked car, turning right and turning left at a junction.
