Bicycle/Road Safety
On Tuesday 30th April and Tuesday 7th May some of the year 5 pupils are taking a bicycle course. They will be learning how to fit and adjust their helmets properly; appropriate clothing to be worn; how to check their bicycles for faults and how to repair them. They will also be taught how to ride their bicycles correctly on the road including; how to get on their bicycles from the correct side; setting the pedals; checking for traffic; hand signal manoeuvers and turning right or left at a road junction.
