Anglo-Saxon Brooches
We have been learning about the brooches that Anglo - Saxons wore. Women wore brooches in pairs in order to fasten their dresses, whereas single brooches were probably used to fasten cloaks. Brooches were usually made of bronze but were sometimes made of iron and decorated with gold or silver.
Anglo- Saxon brooches were often symmetrical.
We were looking at the 'line of symmetry' in Numeracy today and we have created our brooches to be symmetrical!
